Guy Swarbreck joins Smith & Williamson's financial services and markets group
A FINANCIAL SERVICES and natural resources compliance expert has left UHY Hacker Young to join Smith & Williamson.
Guy Swarbreck has taken a partner role at the top ten firm, having spent 12 years at UHY Hacker Young.
Swarbreck has served in audit and regulatory compliance consultancy for brokers, fund managers and corporate finance houses.
Stephen Drew, head of London assurance and business services, said: “Guy is a valuable new appointment to the group, and he brings significant experience and a wealth of knowledge; we anticipate him making a real contribution to the business.”
Smith & Williamson posted revenues of £178.6m for the year ending 30 April 2012, placing it in eighth position in the Accountancy Age Top 50 +50 survey of firms. UHY Hacker Young is in 17th position with £48.8m.
