STEPHEN LABRUM will head up Alvarez & Marsal’s global transfer pricing service line, having joined from Big Four firm Ernst & Young.
Labrum’s arrival also sees him take a managing director post. Shiv Mahalingham continues to lead the UK transfer pricing service and existing transfer pricing heads in the US and other markets are also staying put.
Labrum spent 13 years at Ernst & Young, covering business restructuring, global documentation, implementation, and resolving and preventing issues with tax authorities. He holds an MBA in corporate finance from the University of Texas, Austin.
Alvarez & Marsal transaction and international tax managing director Ernesto Perez said: “Stephen’s arrival at Alvarez & Marsal is set against the backdrop of multinationals striving for globalisation and governments aggressively seeking to protect their revenue base.
“Stephen’s transfer pricing expertise will complement our international tax services to clients who are trying to arrange their tax matters as efficiently as possible, while responding to unprecedented levels of challenge by tax authorities around the world.”
