DELOITTE HAS OVERTAKEN PwC to become the most popular auditor to FTSE 250 clients, according to the latest Morningstar guide.
The rankings are determined by the size of a firm’s client list. Deloitte picked up three clients in the last quarter, taking its total to 69. PwC stayed constant with 67 clients, which saw it slip into second place.
KPMG ranked third with 59 clients, up from 56, while Ernst & Young made a net loss of one client, to stay fourth with 46.
BDO and Grant Thornton were both ranked fifth. Grant Thornton moved up one space on last quarter. The firm has six FTSE 250 clients, the same as BDO.
The AIM-listed clients table remained relatively unchanged, with Grant Thornton, KPMG, BDO, PwC and Deloitte taking the top spots, respectively. RSM Tenon climbed one place to 14th by acquiring three new clients. Littlejohn fell two places to 15 after a net loss of one, while Moore Stephens (Bath) fell to 20th from 18.
