TS tells tales of the US auditor who just won't quit
TS WAS IMPRESSED by the balls-out bravado of a US auditor this week, who was struck off by regulator the PCAOB for his determination to keep working.
Normally, such dedication to the cause would be welcomed, but Samuel D Cordovano of Cordovano and Honeck, had previously been served a suspension notice, forbidding him from auditing or association with an accounting firm for one year.
Cordovano nevertheless soldiered manfully on, presumably convinced the profession could not do without his talents.
The PCAOB said the committed calculator cuddler worked on the audits of four clients, even going so far as to advise colleagues on “important accounting and auditing issues”.
TS hopes he was not left in charge of the firm’s professional conduct training as well.
