Sentance takes PwC economic role

FORMER Bank of England monetary policy committee member Andrew Sentance has joined PwC as senior economic advisor.

Sentence spent five years on the committee, where he became known for voting for an increase in interest rates.

The former CBI director of economic affairs was a regular commentator for Accountancy Age sister publication Financial Director.

He is also a part-time professor of sustainable business at Warwick Business School. Sentence joins from 7 November.

John Hawksworth, PwC’s chief economist, said: “The world economy is going through turbulent times so good quality economic advice is critical for business and Andrew’s expertise and experience will contribute greatly to our ability to deliver this kind of advice to our clients in the UK and internationally.”
