Top 60 firm merge with Worcester practice in November to create Bishop Fleming Rabjohns
TOP 60 FIRM Bishop Fleming is due to merge with a Worcester practice.
Rabjohns has one office, three partners and 26 staff with the deal likely to take effect in November.
The branding of the combined offices in Worcester and Midlands will change to “Bishop Fleming Rabjohns”, with all remaining branches keeping their name.
Matthew Lee, managing partner of Bishop Fleming, said: “Our long standing relationship has confirmed that both Bishop Fleming and Rabjohns share core values and a common culture in how we engage with our clients and our people.
A statement from Bishop Fleming said it wanted to “create a spread of offices up the M5 corridor from Cornwall to the Midlands.”
Rabjohns‘ chairman, Ian Smith, said: “Our decision to join Bishop Fleming is a natural progression of the close working relationship between our two firms over the last decade.
“We have both shared active membership of the Kreston International network of independent accountancy firms over many years.”
Bishop Fleming has a fee income of £10.54m and five offices, it was ranked 58th in the Accountancy Age Top 50+50.
