Investment Management Association protects its own in latest unsurprising study
The Investment Management Association has published its study monitoring adherence to the FRC’s Stewardship Code, and TS was not overly surprised to see the findings paint members in a glowing light.
The code enjoys “widespread adherence to best practice”, they said. Investors are obediently churning off statements on their adherence, along with records of their voting habits.
So no surprises there then. It would have made interesting reading however if the IMA had uncovered less-than-perfect practices among investment managers.
This, at least, would have made the study seem more independent and less self-serving.
