    Budget2011: Fuel duty cut by 1p/litre

    Fair fuel stabiliser is being introduced

    THERE WILL BE no fuel duty rise this year and the fuel duty escalator has been cancelled for the rest of parliament, unless the price of oil falls below $75.

    Government is introducing a fair fuel stabiliser from 6pm tonight, when fuel duty will be cut by 1p per litre.

    The duty rise will be delayed until next year and George Osborne claims this will help struggling families and support business.
