Grant Thornton to take over from Baker Tilly at agrochemical company Eden Research
AGROCHEMICAL COMPANY Eden Research has announced that it has appointed Grant Thornton as its new auditors.
The changeover takes place with immediate effect. Eden’s last set of full-year company accounts, for the year ended 31 December 2009, was audited by Baker Tilly. The accounts, released on on 16 August 2010, contained a going concern statement.
Baker Tilly had included an emphasis of matter-going concern statement in its audit report, explaining that as the group had incurred a loss of £1,671,381 during the year and had net current liabilities of £2,940,644, along with other matters, there existed “a material uncertainty which may cast significant doubt about the group’s ability to continue as a going concern”.
Eden’s latest unaudited interims showed a £913,000 for the six months ending 30 June 2010.
