Survey targets taxation along with regulation and infra structure as main concerns for investment in the UK
Business taxation is at the heart of fears for the competitiveness for the UK
economy, according to a survey conducted for the CBI and Deloitte.
The survey of 120 senior businessmen also found concerns about tackling
problems related to regulation and infrastructure,
The
Scotsman reports.
The survey results were revealed at the
CBI’s
annual conference and looked ahead to investment trends over the next five
years.
CBI director general Richard Lambert is reported as saying that the UK
remains an attractive place to invest but is lagging behind the US, China and
India.
It remains ahead of Russian and mainland Europe but is on a par with Brazil.
