New finance director joins after spells with News International and BAT
Daily Mail and General Trust Fd Peter Williams is to retire. He will leave
his post in March next year.
Williams has been FD since 1991 and joined DMGT in 1982. He will be replaced
by Stephen Daintith, currently chief operation office and chief financial
officer at Dow Jones in New York. Before joining Dow Jones in 2008 Daintith was
CFO of News International. Daintish was also chief executive of British American
Tobacco in Switzerland.
Daintish is a chartered accountant and qualified with PwC. He is expected to
be in post by April next year.
