KPMG lines up £260m office move in 2010
4,000 KPMG staff set for 15 Canada Square in Autumn 2010
The fitting out of KPMG’s £260m office space in Canary Wharf has begun, with
4,000 staff to move in by Autumn 2010.
KPMG
will move to 15 Canada Square, but will retain its current HQ at Salisbury
Square. It has not yet been decided which other London offices will remain.
The firm took out a £360m credit facility, which has now been secured against
the new office space by
RBS
following its completion.
The extra leeway in the credit facility will go towards fitting out the
office space using interior designers
Swanke Hayden
Connell, who recently won awards for its work at 3i’s HQ at 16
Palace Street in central London. The designers also worked on Merrill Lynch’s
European HQ in London.
Building work began in November 2006 after the deal was struck.
The exterior architects for the building were Kohn, Pederson, Fox and
Adamsons Associates.
