Sage publishes letter to reassure all remaining partners
Sage, the FTSE 100 financial software company, has seen the collapse of its
biggest reseller in the US, MIS Group with criticism from competitors that Sage
was to blame.
Dallas based MIS group went into administration earlier this year with rivals
Microsoft Dynamics blaming Sage for its demise.
The reseller unexpectedly entered into bankruptcy proceedings earlier this
year and has approximately 3,000 sage customers in the US.
Sage has made attempts to reassure US partners who have been targeted by
rivals NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics to partner with them instead
ChannelWeb
reported.
A statement by Sage said: ‘The closure of the MIS Group only affects our
North American business and from a financial perspective the impact is not
material.’
‘Our partner network is large and diverse enough that no one partner
represents a significant percentage of our total revenue’ it added.
Sage did not respond at the time of going to press as to what they were doing
to prevent an similar incident taking place in the UK.
