Former FD of GUS takes up NED position at FTSE 100 household cleaning, health and personal care company
Reckitt
Benckiser has today announced the appointment of David Tyler as
an independent non-executive director.
Tyler was group FD of GUS plc from February 1997 until October 2006 when the
corporate demerged into the
Experian
Group and the Home Retail Group, which led to a move into a non-executive
position at Experian.
Prior to joining GUS, he was FD of Christie’s International, and in his early
career held positions at County NatWest Ltd and Unilever. Tyler, a fellow of
CIMA, is a member of
the Association of Corporate Treasurers and is also currently a non-executive
director of Burberry Group.
Adrian Bellamy, chairman of Reckitt Benckiser, commented: ‘The board is
delighted that David has agreed to join us. He will bring a wealth of financial
and business experience to the board. I am sure he will make a significant
contribution to the future success of the company.’
