iSoft auditors and directors facing AIDB probe
Former auditors and directors under spotlight at software group
The Accountancy Investigation and
Discipline Board will examine the audit work of RSM Robson Rhodes at
embattled software group iSoft as well as
that of ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA members who have held executive or
non-executive directorships at the group.
The AIDB will look at RSM Robson Rhodes
audit work with regard to the financial statements of iSoft Group for the years
ended 30 April 2003, 2004, 2005 and institute members holding executive or
non-executive directorships of iSoft in the relevant period.
The investigation will look at ‘the conduct of members and member firms in
relation to the preparation, approval and audit of the Financial Statements of
iSoft Group Plc for the financial years ended 30 April 2003, 2004 and 2005’
In a statement, the AIDB said this decision was taken following consultation
with the ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA, ‘whose members and/or member firms are
included within the initial subjects of the investigation’.
