The ICAEW has today become one of the first educational bodies to offer exam results posted to student's mobile phones using the short-message-service.
Students expecting results for the ACA qualification on 25 January have until the 22 January to register for the free service.
Those waiting with sweaty palms now have three ways of accessing their results. They can choose to log on to the online results website at www.icaew.co.uk/examresults at 9pm on 25 January, they can pick them up through their email inbox or they can listen for the beep on their mobile phones, signalling that the fateful message has been received.
Brian Chiplin, executive director of education and training at the institute, described this new development as ‘excellent’ and said the ICAEW was constantly assessing ways of increasing the support it offered.
Sarah Alder, head of digital communications added: ‘It’s a natural progression for us to start using text messages to let people know how they’ve done in their exams – plus it really is convenient for the students.’
Students wishing to sign up for the news service or email notification can register at www.icaew.co.uk/examresults.
