Big Five firm Ernst & Young says it sponsorship of next year's MatissePicasso exhibition at the Modern Tate will be used a 'business tool' to host clients at private hospitality events held at the gallery.
The exhibition will run for four months from 11 May to the 18 August and will include key paintings by both modern art masters as well as sculptures and a section dedicated to works on paper.
The firm has a long history of business arts sponsorships running back to the Picasso exhibition at the Tate (now Tate Britain) in 1994. This year it sponsored what was arguably the most popular art exhibition of the summer, the Vermeer and Delft School at the National Gallery.
As well as being a way to entertain clients, the firm will also give its staff free access to the exhibition and provide talks at the workplace.
E&Y chairman Nick Land said his firm’s sponsorship of MatissePicasso was part of its ‘commitment to arts in the UK’.
