Wadia to make legal move

Wadia to make legal move

Former Arthur Andersen chief Jim Wadia, who last year quit amid the firms painful split with its consulting arm, is set to re-emerge at law firm Linklaters & Alliance as chief operating officer.

Wadia resigned as worldwide managing partner at the accounting giant following the International Chamber of Commerce’s arbitration on the Andersen divorce. He had been in the role for three years.

The appointment marks the first time a non-lawyer has taken a senior position at the legal giant, though Wadia did train as a barrister before joining Arthur Andersen as a tax partner.

He is expected to assist the firm in its move to a global support structure and will join will be unveiled later this week.
