We like big books landing on the TS desk, it makes us feel important.
And so we did when the Corporate Research Foundation’s latest volume Britain’s Top Employers crashed through the post.
We say crashed because readers using this weighty work literally run the risk of a hernia.
That said it does mention some of our favourite organisations like the Inland Revenue, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG and Deloitte & Touche as being among the 100 most cuddly, worker-friendly institutions to labour for.
However we do micheviously notice that mention of Ernst & Young and Andersen is conspicuous by its absence. Imagine that being beaten by the competition and, of all people, the Revenue.
