    E&Y kids’ website tainted by XXX videos

    E&Y kids' website tainted by XXX videos

    A website set up by Big Five firm Ernst & Young, designed to educate children in financial matters, has had one of its web addresses taken over by a site advertising '165,000 teen porn movies'.

    E&Y’s Moneyopolis website uses wacky graphics, games, bright colours and cartoon characters in an effort to make finance fun and appealing to youngsters.

    But in a cynical twist the firm has had its .org web domain swiped by a video site peddling XXX footage.

    The firm has held on to moneyopolis.com – the best known gateway to the website. That name was re-registered in the summer, but the firm didn’t renew its rights to the moneyopolis.org address.

    E&Y is now facing the wrath of teachers and parents who may be more familiar with the .org domain than the .com suffix.

    The firm told AccountancyAge.com it was fully aware of the sex site and was trying to warn parents and teachers that may have bookmarked the site to take precautions to prevent it being seen by children.

    This isn’t the first time E&Y has been a victim of cybersex fiends.

    Two years ago Accountancy Age revealed that keying in the term ‘Ernst & Young’ on a major search engine returned the website SmutIsland.com as a result.
