TS: Whiting puts on a show to be proud of
PwC's tax partner John Whiting - no stranger when it comes to putting himself in the media spotlight - has been caught out on one of his most recent television appearances.
Much to the amusement of his colleagues, Whiting who is renowned for his love of folk rock music, recently appeared on the BBC’s daily consumer show Working Lunch to answer tax related questions.
Nothing extraordinary so far you will agree, but there was a twist.
At the end of the show he and three other guests were asked to perform the backing vocals to White Christmas while standing around a mock fire.
He was joined by the show’s hosts Adrian Charles on piano forte and Adam Shaw who sang lead vocals as they performed the yuletide classic.
And while nobody can deny Whiting’s tax and media abilities, TS has been assured the Whiting version is unlikely to be released in the charts next Winter, despite claims from the man himself that it was ‘a performance not to be missed’.
