Moores Rowland joins forces with Londoners Blakemores
Top 20 firm Moores Rowland is merging with Blakemores, a London-based practice with fees of around # 1.5m.
Tony Sanderson, Blakemores’ managing partner, will be retained as a partner and member of the London office management committee, but he will not remain in the position of managing partner. Denis Metson, a senior partner at Blakemores, will become a partner.
Six of Blakemore’s eight partners, together with 30 of their staff, will be transferred to Moores Rowland’s Fetter Lane office.
Moores Rowland’s managing partner in London, Graham Coopey, explained: ‘Blakemores has a client portfolio which is compatible with the range of services we provide. As well as clients in manufacturing, distribution, property and retailing, they also have many clients in the charity sector and in the film and music business which will benefit from our charities and media and entertainment groups.’
