Apple has
added three MacBooks and three MacBook Pros to its notebook range, all powered
by the latest
Intel Core 2
Duo processors.
The entry-level MacBook sports a 2.1GHz processor, while all three MacBook
Pros get a significant speed hike with 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz processors.
The MacBooks retain their 13.3in glossy widescreen 1,280 x 800 displays.
Their more expensive siblings come with a choice of 15.4in or 17in LCD or LED
backlit widescreen displays.
The MacBook Pros have been endowed with multi-touch functionality, offering
iPhone-like interaction via the notebook's touchpad. Proud owners will be able
to pinch, rotate and swipe as they scroll through their photos.
Prices for MacBooks start at £699, and MacBook Pros range from £1,299 to
£1,799.
