EDS currently makes only seven per cent of its turnover from its Chinese operations and hopes to increase this to 10 per cent over the next five years.

The company plans to increase its $50m investment in the region in the next two years.

EDS expects to have raised its Chinese workforce up to at least 1,500, with a target of 2,000 by the fourth quarter of 2007.
