Andrew Bonfield, who is set to leave his role as Cadbury's CFO, is joining Kingfisher as a non-executive director.

He will serve as the chairman of the DIY group's audit committee when Phil Bentley steps down.

Bonfield served as CFO of Bristol-Myers Squibb, BG Group and Smithkline Beecham, and was a non-exec at BOC Group.

"He has tremendous international business experience and I am sure we will benefit from his expertise as we strengthen and grow our businesses around the world," said Kingfisher chairman Daniel Bernard.

"It is an exciting international business, with strong retail brands and well-established market positions in Europe and Asia. It has a clear strategy for growth and I look forward to working with the rest of the Board on delivering value for shareholders," said Bonfield.
