Rio Tinto CFO joins Royal Dutch Shell board

Rio Tinto CFO Guy Elliott is joining the Royal Dutch Shell board as a non-executive director.

Elliott has served in the top finance role at the mining company since 2002. He takes up the director position - and joins Royal Dutch Shell's audit committee - from 1 September.

He was senior independent director at Cadbury prior to its takeover by Kraft.
