French-speaking accountants are desperately being sought to help out with the humanitarian crisis following the tragic earthquake in Haiti.

Mango, a charity that helps provide management accounting for non-governmental organizations, in urgently looking for accountants who can lend support to the stricken Caribbean country.

“We need more French speaking accountants to support the relief efforts and rebuild Haiti in the longer term”, said Lucy Markby, Mango’s placements director.

Supporting Mango's valuable work

Thank you for highlighting the valuable work of Mango. As well as sourcing financial professionals for NGOs worldwide this charity is also providing training, guidance and consultancy to improve the financial management of NGOs. This makes a real difference to the resources available to meet urgent needs such as in Haiti, and is bringing greater efficiency and accountability to the activities of NGOs. As a supporter of Mango for many years I highly commend the organisation. It would be interesting to read more in Accountancy Age about the work of financial professionals in Haiti.
