Germany is the latest country to have signed an agreement with Jersey over the exchange of information for tax purposes.
The total number of agreements signed by jurisdictions committed to working with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries since the beginning of 2007 has reached 16.
The recent signing reaffirms Jersey's commitment to implementing international standards of transparency and exchange of information relating to tax matters.
This is the third tax information agreement by Jersey which already has arrangements with Netherlands and the United States.
A recent report 'Tax co-operation: Towards a Level Playing Field – 2007 Assessment by the Global Forum on Taxation', shows the progress made by OECD countries implementing the transparency and exchange of information for tax policies.
