Accounting technology company SAP is planning a huge drive to capitalise on the internet software market next year.
The company created a new web-based sales management programme to compete against the sector's market leader, Salesforce.com. SAP hopes the application will be released next summer.
John Wookey, SAP chief executive, told Reuters the company would also offer online expense management applications in 2010.
"These products should be profitable by the end of next year," he said.
"We're going to have to build up our customer brand and our own credibility. Then we'll start to get people to take us more seriously," he added.
