Curin takes Atkins audit chair

Joanne Curin will become the chair of Atkins audit committee less than five months after joining the engineering giant's board.

Curin, a qualified chartered accountant, joined Atkins' audit and nominations panels on 10 February and will now take over as audit chair from James Morley when he retires at the end of the month.

Currently CFO of Intelligent Holdings, Curin has a broad range of international experience in the property, construction, oil, and shipping sectors, including finance director roles for both Lend Lease Corporation and P&O.

Ed Wallis, chairman of Atkins, said: 'James has made an invaluable contribution to the group and I wish him every success for the future. I am delighted that Joanne has agreed to take the chair of the audit committee.'
