Kashflow has settled its dispute with Sage after the online accountancy software provider agreed to withdraw any comparison to the FTSE100 company's products.
KashFlow has stopped comparing its products with those on Sage on its website after reaching an agreement with Newcastle Trading Standards.
In a blog posting today, founder Duane Jackson said: 'We (Trading Standards and KashFlow) agreed that it’d take considerable time and resources on my part to prove my case (reckon Sage knew that?) and the easiest thing is for us just to remove the comparison that they objected to so we can focus on growing the business.'
Sage were unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
Salesforce.com, the platform for online software, recently announced its revenue had grown in excess of $1bn while traditional software vendor Microsoft had announced its first fall in revenue for two years.
