Greece's ministry of finance is to launch a tax probe into the operations of Siemens as part of a wider corruption investigation into the German phone company.
The ministry's spokesman, Theodoros Roussopoulos said two tax audit committees are being set up to look into the company's tax declarations since 2003 to date, as well as those between 1997 and 2003.
An Athens prosecutor earlier this month also began proceedings alleging bribery and money laundering by individuals associated with Siemens, cellular-news.com reported.
