Barbara Firth has been appointed the new chief financial officer at Primary care sector IT provider Advanced Computer Software.

On 1 September, Firth, 56, takes over from Karen Bach, who is moving to the CFO role at e-commerce business Kewill.

Having previously worked as CFO at Computer Software Group, she has experience of working with chief executive Vin Murria and chairman Michael Jackson on the group’s MBO, the subsequent merger with IRIS and later sale to Hellman and Friedman.

'I am delighted to welcome Barbara as this reunites the highly successful CS Group team,’ said Murria. ‘I am sure her past experience at CS Group and IRIS will contribute greatly towards many successful years for ACS.’
