SDI Group, the consultancy company, has recruited Stephen Butler to the post of chief financial officer following the current CFO's decision to step down.
Butler, previously vice-president finance and commercial with DHL Excel Supply Chain, takes over from Gary Pyle who leaves to 'pursue other business interests' at the end of July following a handover period, having been with the company since the end of 2006.
Gordon Smith, SDI group's chief executive said: 'I would like to thank Gary for his contribution in helping transform SDI over the last 2 years. We wish him well with his new business interests. We are delighted to welcome Steve to SDI and are confident that his experience will be invaluable at this stage of the Group's development.'
Butler has served as a management consultant for Willis, IT giant IBM Business Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
