Glenn Wheatley, the manager of Australian singer John ‘You’re the voice’ Farnham, has been charged with tax evasion by the Australian Tax Office.

Charges have been made against Wheatley as part of Operation Wickenby, the nation's biggest tax fraud and money-laundering investigation, Australian newspapers reported.

The investigation has already brought tax fraud charges against actor Paul Hogan, famous for his portrayal of Crocodile Dundee in the 1980s.

Charges against Wheatley, who is also a former musician with Australian band Masters and Apprentices, are reportedly in relation to a tax minimisation scheme administered by Swiss accounting firm Strachans three years ago.

The head of Strachans, Philip Egglishaw, has been under investigation by Operation Wickenby for a number of months, with some reports also linking the firm to actor Paul Hogan.

Hogan and Wheatley have denied the allegations.
