Both Kingfisher, the retail giant and owner of B&Q, and insurer RSA could move abroad for tax reasons, reports claimed.
Kingfisher was described as reluctant to move its HQ, bu ist undertaking the review as part of a detailed look at any moves that might improve its financial performance.
The Daily Telegraph quoted a source 'close to the company' saying that the move was being considered 'more in sorrow than in anger'.
RSA's chief executive Andy Haste has said a move to Dublin could save the insurer £50m, with a spokesman for the company quoted as saying that a move was being 'considered'.
