BDO is to investigate whether funds from E-Clear the stricken card payment processing group, were dirverted into other businesses.
Debt to creditors at E-Clear stands at around £100m, according to the Daily Telegraph, but only £100,000 was available in company accounts when administrators took over.
PwC, administrators of Globespan, the collapsed budget airline, calculates E-Clear may have held on to £35m in payments. Other cleints of E-Clear include Bridge Group International and Totally Travel.
