Crystal Palace goes into administration

Crystal Palace football club has gone into administration, putting it in the hands of partners from P &A Partnership.

Football club insolvency veteran Brendan Guilfoyle is handling affairs at the troubled club, according to the BBC.

"Our role now is to find a buyer quickly to provide certainty for the employees, players and fans for the future," said Guilfoyle.

"We are hoping our appointment will be short-lived as we understand there are many interested buyers."
