Priest stumps up €433,475 to Irish taxman

A Cork priest has shelled out a €433,475 settlement to the Irish taxman.

Fr Tadhg O’Donovan paid the windfall amount in relation to under-declaration of income tax and capital gains tax on his extensive property interests, the Irish Examiner reported

The settlement with the Revenue Commissioners consisted of €187,447 in unpaid taxes and €246,029 in penalties and interest after a Revenue audit.
