Former Reuters CFO joins Standard Life

David Grigson, the former finance director at Reuters and EMAP has joined the board of Standard Life.

Grigson is also a former FD with Saatchi & Saatchi’s international operations. He joins as a non-executive director.

Standard Life chairman Gerry Grimstone, said: “As a former top chief financial officer of a FTSE 100 company, he brings us a wealth of experience both in the UK and internationally."

The appointment comes just a week after David Nish, the Standard Life FD, was promoted to chief executive.

Grigson was with EMAP from 1989 to 2000 and Reuters from 200 to 2008 when the news agency joined Thompson.
