JOY enters administration

A 28-store fashion-led design and gifts retailer has appointed administrators from David Rubin & Partners.

Maureen O'Brien Limited, trading as JOY, entered into administration and insolvency practitioners from David Rubin, Paul Appleton and Asher Miller, are negotiating a sale of the business in a bid to preserve the maximum number of jobs.

JOY employs 370 staff.
