Allowing employers, agents and payroll bureau to send a range of forms and returns over the web, registration and enrollment for the service commences today. From 9 April, the Revenue will accept the end-of-year returns from forms P35, P14 and P38A.

The PAYE facility is one of three that go live this week, the other two being electronic VAT return and the IACS area aid application from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. It forms part of the Government Gateway web portal - a centralised registration service for e-Government. The government claims that over the months and years, the list of services will grow until almost all the paperwork currently send off to government departments will be available online.
