KPMG personal insolvency head to leave for Tenon

KPMG is losing its personal insolvency director, Mark Sands, to Tenon later this year. Sands will lead the bankruptcy division at the listed firm.

Sands, is expected to become national head of bankruptcy at Tenon. He has been with KPMG since 1989, and will leave after nearly 20 years at the Big Four firm.

Before joining KPMG, Sands worked for Grant Thornton in the corporate recovery unit for over three years.

Sands is one of the most high-profile personal insolvency specialists in the UK, and is well regarded in the industry.

"This is an opportunity that doesn't come along very often" said Sands.

A Tenon spokesman confirmed that Sands would lead the firm's bankruptcy division.
