No charges for Kerry Katona over accountant attack

Former pop star Kerry Katona will not faces charges over the alleged assault of her accountant.

The reality TV star and former face of Iceland supermarkets had been arrested back in August after being accused of punching her adviser David McHugh and throwing tea over him.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: “Following an investigation by Cheshire Constabulary and advice from the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to an allegation of assault that occurred in Warrington on 26 August, no further action will be taken in respect of the 29-year-old female who was arrested in relation to the incident.”

Katona was declared bankrupt last year for failing to pay a tax bill of more than £400,000.
