Pegg will be appointed to the VAT department at BDO's East Midlands office, among the fastest growing practices in the Midlands region.

Prior to his posting at E&Y's Nottingham office, Pegg worked at HM Customs & Excise. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in dealing with VAT issues.

Speaking on the announcement of his new post Pegg said: 'I am very excited by this opportunity. BDO Stoy Hayward has a real vision. I want to be part of this. I am very much looking forward to building a successful VAT team here, and becoming the pre-eminent provider of VAT services in the East Midlands.'

As well as heading up a team of six consultants in his previous job, Pegg's client base extends from national and international blue chip companies and educational institutions to charities and corporations. He is also a well-known speaker on VAT issues.
