The chief financial officer of global confectionary giant Cadbury plc has informed the company's board of his decision to step down from the role.
Ken Hanna, who also acts as an executive director for the brand, said his resignation is effective as of April 2009. Hanna has been with the company for five years.
He will be seeking alternate non-executive positions, including at car retailer Inchcape plc, which has confirmed his appointment as chairman from May 2009.
Roger Carr, chairman of Cadbury said Hanna has played a critical role in the company's restructure operationally, as well as from a portfolio perspective
Cadbury has confirmed the search for a suitable replacement has commenced.
