IT management guide revamped

Written by Staff Writer

Aidan Lawes, chief executive of Itil user group the IT Service Management Forum, said the update will focus on integrating the disciplines in the seven core books of Itil to aid unified service management.

However, Rakesh Kumar of analyst firm Gartner argued that more should be done to show Itil can deliver real business benefits. As an example, he suggested Itil templates for storage management processes for utility computing.
