Written by sara yirrell

Secure content vendor Blue Coat has claimed that its latest live streaming video delivery software will help resellers generate new business.

The vendor has launched a software package based on technology from enterprise video communications specialist Media Publishing. It has claimed this will provide firms with live and on-demand video event management, and allow them to apply business rules and track user activity.

Nigel Hawthorn, marketing director for EMEA at Blue Coat, said: “Our VARs will have access to products that have only previously been available in the US. This will help them win business with new and existing customers.”

Hawthorn added that the technology will appeal to any end-user company that runs online training videos for its employees.

“We can basically make sure the video quality is good and that it is being seen by the right employees,” he said.
