Microsoft has signed US comedian Jerry Seinfeld as it attempts to rebrand itself as cool.
Traditionally cast as dull and decidedly uncool by rival Apple, Microsoft recently hired a new advertising agency and is planning a $300m (£153m) ad campaign.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Seinfeld will appear in ads alongside Bill Gates and will pick up $10m (£5.4m) for his trouble.
