Logica UK sales stall

European revenues up slightly

Written by Martin Courtney

UK IT services company Logica saw its revenue rise slightly in the first quarter of financial year 2008, up just 3.6 per cent to £856m from £826m a year earlier.

Despite modest growth elsewhere in Europe, UK revenues remained stationary at £175m, a fact Logica chief executive Andy Green was keen to play down.

“I am pleased with the progress we are making in the UK where we have announced a number of new wins since the beginning of the first quarter,” he said in a statement.

Logica announced a restructuring program, which includes up to 1,300 job losses, in April this year in a bid to improve its revenue growth.
